This picture was taken at Hartsdown Park on 19.9.59 when Margate played Gillingham Reserves in a friendly a few days before embarking on their first Southern League campaign since the 1930's. From the extreme left in the foreground the photo features Gary Phillips, then 'Tony' and in the centre in the black jacket with his hands out in front of him is Trevor Berry whose scrapbook this photo came from.
